Jordan Drutman

Jordan Drutman serves as General Manager of Emerson Independent Video, overseeing the Management Board and daily operations of Emerson College’s oldest and largest student production organization. He previously served as Executive Producer of EIV News: Live at 9:00, leading the flagship team to various awards from The EVVYS, The Associated Press, and The New England EMMYs.

Jordan joined EIV as a field photographer in his freshman year. Since then, he has had the opportunity to Executive Produce, Direct and even Host EIV programs. This year he plans to foster a positive and constructive learning environment for Emerson students in order to provide experience in development, administration and technical production of Television and Video. Outside of EIV Jordan is a New York native majoring in Visual & Media Arts with a concentration in Studio Television Production. He can commonly be found ‘studying’ his favorite television shows, listening to techno or reading books on quantum theory and he is always reachable by email.

 

Erin Mulligan

Erin Mulligan first got involved in Emerson Independent Video as a sophomore, when she joined the staffs of The Dish, The Morning Show and EIV News at 6. Not wasting any time, EIV has been her top priority ever
since. She loves everything TV, and hanging on her wall are the credentials from all the productions she’s loved working on, like The 30th Annual EVVY Awards and Emerson Unstitched. Erin is a Writing for
Television and Film major with a minor in Photography. Her goal is to challenge her peers to produce the highest quality programming at Emerson while maintaining the warm learning environment that EIV is known for. She would also like to promote EIV and engage more students, increasing campus awareness of the shows EIV works so hard to create. Erin is very excited to work with the producers and students to improve their skills and learn how to create great television. Her genuine passion for television, Emerson and everyone in EIV makes sleep irrelevant, and coffee invaluable.

 

Mike Saccone

News Director

Before he even applied to Emerson College Mike Saccone wanted to join EIV News. Mike first heard about Emerson College from Boston newsman David Wade (’95) and while looking into the school he discovered EIV News. He joined EIV News his sophomore year as a weather reporter for the News at 6. He later went on to become weather anchor for News at 6, general assignment reporter for News at 9 and assignment editor for both News at 6 and 9. In addition to serving as news director for EIV News you can also catch Mike delivering the latest forecast Wednesday nights at 9 right here on EIV News. As news director Mike oversees the News at 6 and 9 as well as executive produces EIV News Live Update with Ross Lippman. Mike is working to strengthen EIV News’s web and social media presence as well as developing an investigation team.
Mike is also a news anchor and producer for WERS News on 88.9 FM, a weather anchor and producer for WECB radio and a business producer for WEBN TV.  If you have a story idea, send it to Mike at news@eivtv.com.

 

Kevin Cochran

Kevin Cochran discovered Emerson College after watching an episode of EIV News online.  Ever since, he has been an active member of EIV. His passion for news and studio production has led him to hold positions such as EP for News at 9:00 and Director for various studio shows. Last year, he served as News Director.  Kevin is majoring in VMA with a concentration in TV Studio Production. As Marketing Director, Kevin’s goal is to promote EIV as an organization that provides a unique educational experience at Emerson. Specifically, he aims to increase EIV’s web presence, produce engaging promotional videos, and create clear and simple channels of communication to EIV members and Emerson students.

 

Ariana Sigel

Ariana Sigel is Junior studio television major who just finished traveling Europe. When she is not reminiscing about the Kasteel Well program or playing Quidditch, you can find her organizing the EIV remote closet, taking photos or lighting television shows. Ariana first started on Emerson Independent Video as a lighting assistant on three shows, which led her being co-producer The Dish.  Her love for EIV did not stop with her absence from the Boston campus in the Spring of 2011. While attending the Kasteel Well Program, she co-pioneered EIVs first international series, Beyond The Moat, which subsequently landed her first EVVY nomination and win. As the remote director, Ariana hopes to teach others about field production and equipment. She specifically wants make the reservation system easier and introduce more camera workshops.

 

Allison Willard

Unit Manager

After starting out as Unit Assistant and as a Camera Operator running about Boston on Let’s Take the T, Allison found herself enjoying the dedication involved in both positions as well as the overall atmosphere of EIV. As a VMA major with a specialization in Studio Television Production and a Business Studies minor, her motivation comes from a deep desire to help others and put her skills to the best possible use. She is eager to learn more about every aspect of the television medium, and as Unit Manager hopes to provide an organized and efficient workplace for the organization.

 

 

Sebastian McCall

Sebastian was attracted to Emerson, like many students because he believed it to be a place suitable for those relentlessly loyal to their 3rd grade ambitions. Like even more students, he found television to be more rewarding and exciting than those 3rd grade ambitions. From funny face to finance – he finds time to explore all of his passions through screenwriting, coordinating talent during live broadcasts, and even stopping by every once in a while to help EIV’s award-winning news team. Sebastian is majoring in VMA with a concentration in Directing and a minor in Business Studies. As Business Manager, Sebastian seeks to facilitate quality relations with Student Government. He plans to engage the Emerson community by directing sufficient funding to ensure preeminent programming ,and by uniting EIV members with Emerson students under various fund raising efforts.
